Ayurveda:

        The Science of Life

   What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a healing discipline for the whole self. It’s eating right for your body type. It’s eating the right thing at the right time. It’s a manual for removing toxins from the body, and thereby freeing the mind.

Translated as “The Science of Life”, Ayurveda is an ancient Indian healthcare system that stresses the prevention of dis-ease through a healthy diet, daily routine (dinacharya) and mindset.  Ayurvedic practitioners emphasize the importance of treating the individual using a holistic approach.

Grounded in the belief that the body has all the tools it needs to heal itself, Ayurvedic philosophy ties overall health to proper digestion and nutrient absorption.

Incorporating Ayurvedic staples into your diet (like our delicious Comfort Kitchari!) is one of the easiest ways to start living a healthier life.

Kitchari is a staple food in Ayurvedic diets and, traditionally, it’s a simple mix of split yellow Mung dal and Basmati rice cooked in a blend of healing spices. There are many recipes for the ancient dish but ours is a unique blend crafted to work synergistically to soothe the digestive system while providing long-lasting energy.
